Car Show Pic

I went to a car show in Upland California today. There was a couple of C10's there but the one I had to show was this one with inside out windshield rubber. :O

Ya I don't know. It's especially obvious at the top of the windshield, sticks out pretty well.

Normally I refrain from talking smack … did you actually talk to the person that owns this truck? or just figured it was a good idea to post pictures of his , or her pride and joy and point out it's short comings? I go to a lot of shows and would never think of posting pictures of things done incorrectly, I know we have all seen lots of stuff that was not up to snuff , but in my opinion it's better to educate..with out being a #*%^ . Sorry just my 2 cents worth

Well, I just took the plunge and posted up a build thread. I hope you don't start flaming me! I am super sensitive and would then have to go to my "safe space"! That would be the shop.

Seriously though, I would hope if you or anyone else sees me doing something wrong in that build thread you would point it out so I don't go out in public like that!

Crap happens.....long as the wind shield doesn't fly out when he stops he'll be fine. Looks like some of the white paint found it's way in between the tape to.
That would drive me insane.

And WE thank you for your service! I was going to comment about the Navy thing-but two of my nieces are married to Navy guys; so I probably wouldn't go there anyway! Don't want to get in trouble on here anyway.
One of those two boys is pretty bad news anyway so I wouldn't want him to get wind of my badmouthing any other Sailors. He is a SAR type; so he says. Just got back from a deployment not long ago.

Re: Car Show Pic

I bet t was the glass installer and not the owner. If I had just painted my truck and needed glass, I want someone that I can stand on their throats if it goes bad and it not be me!

Most of the kids out there installing windshield probably haven't seen the rubber gasket and insert like our trucks have.

Re: Car Show Pic

Don't feel bad, I had the painter mispaint the front of the fenders on my '60 GMC, he did what I told him to do - not his fault. (I brought the black trim right too far forward) That was an extra few bucks)

Agree! I bet if we all post up pictures theirs a lot on here that could pick all of our trucks to death.. I would have atleast told him so he could get it fixed. Do you know how many people ive told that they have their directional tires on backwards. To each his own I guess.
