i need some front springs for a 72
ya the other dayw ehn i was workin on my truck ive never noticed it but the springs on the front of my truck are almost shot. the ediot i bought the truck from heated the springs to lower the truck and he heated them too much now they rub there so close. so i need new ones to put in. let me know. thanx alot.

Pretty sure that almost any year springs will work (late 60's to early 80's).

really, ok welli might have some then but i wasnt sure if most years would work, i have a 63 front assembly u think theyd work?

Not sure, that's pretty old, but they might. Have you tried to install them?

wouldn't those springs be 'extremely' soft as a) they would have sagged like crazy over a period of 45 years and b) they were designed for a truck with less weight, smaller engines, and different spring rates..
i'd try to buy new springs for your truck from an autoparts place like Kragen (they're about 150 a pair) or get some out of the newest/lowest mileage truck possible in the 73-87 body style.. just my $0.02 ------------------ Webmaster: www.GMPerformance.org

I will have a set of front and rear springs for sale in about 1 june. Brand new, right out of the box, stock height. I am buying a rebuild kit and plan on dropping the my truck so I won't need the springs.

thanx alot guys but i think ive just bought some fairly good ones form a guy whos sellin them to me cheap. 10 bucks a set! ive gotta pay shippin though! thanx anyways.
