Interesting CL ad- not mine
Okay so this has to be the most interesting CL ad I have seen. (Not mine)
https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/pts/6120647850.html 1. Just testing the waters 2. Picture shown is not the actual truck for sale 3. Cab has clean title but frame is not original to the truck 4. Truck is disassembled. So can I test the waters and make a $1 offer, Not. |

Re: Interesting CL ad- not mine
Wow. Definitely a power seller's ad.
I'm selling something. I might not want it. It has some parts. It doesn't have some parts. I might include some parts. I have some paperwork that shows part of it is legal. You can't see it. I don't need to sell it. ... |

Re: Interesting CL ad- not mine
at least he listed a price, most ads have some of the following in them:
here is a guide I made to help people decipher what craigslist ads actually say $1 listed price: you wouldnt call if I told you up front what I wanted clean title: signed title still open from the guy I bought it from 2 years ago, dont worry I filled it all out though including selling price I dont have to sell: I am asking way too much no dreamers: I am asking way too much no tire kickers: I am asking way too much no test drives without cash: I am asking way too much motivated seller: you should pay me what I am asking needs finishing: I took it apart and got bored. perfect restoration candidate: I have no idea how restoration actually works.

Re: Interesting CL ad- not mine
I have to admit, that is an interesting ad. I like the opening statement... this is not a picture of the truck I am selling, I sold that one... LOL

Re: Interesting CL ad- not mine
I sent him this :
" Hey just testing how bad you want to sell how about $1482.55 but I just want a frame and a box with a real nice tailgate. But not the one you have a different one, maybe I could send you a picture? I would need it to be the original tailgate for that frame but the box doesn’t matter. And the motor and trans. Thanks" Am I bad?

Re: Interesting CL ad- not mine
Fishing for a big fat sucker I'd say.
I'm saving your list Joedoh, that is the best one I've seen. Almost sounds like the wife told him he has to get rid of that junk but he keeps telling her he is trying and has it advertised but no one is willing to pay his price.

Unfortunately there are so many (let us say less intelligent) among us that deceptive advertising must work very well as there is so much of it.
