Trailing arm conversion, airbags and disc brakes
Hopefully, this will be a 2-3 week job. Hopefully. Truck is a 70 C20 cut down to short bed. drub brakes all the way around and 6 lug. Got all my Airbag stuff, C-Notch and trailing arm conversion. I did not play to do disc, but to get as low as I want to go, I think I will need to disc with 2-1/2 drop spindles? So I ordered them from CPP

Re: Trailing arm conversion, airbags and disc brakes
Got the bed pulled, fenders and then lifted the cab and rolled the frame back to get to the cross member. We kind off engineered the cab lifting deal. We just needed it off the frame about a foot, so we could get to the cross member. We tried to be as safe as we could while still being quick and easy.

With the cab lifted, we were able to roll the chassis and swap out to the new EC Cross member. Old cross member did not fight us too much. I just took the grinder, removed the rivet heads and punched them out. Usually, everything fights me on this thing.

Re: Trailing arm conversion, airbags and disc brakes
Removed the leaf springs, shocks and all mounts and perches. I installed the new trailing arms.

Got one side of the C-Notch installed. I'm an average welder, but great grinder. I can hide almost any bad weld.

Re: Trailing arm conversion, airbags and disc brakes
C-notch is done. Even hit the back with some POR15. Now question, I'm gling to put my bags over the top of the rear end. I was thinking about taking a piece of 3/6" thick like 5" channel with 1" sides and weld it to the top of my C-Notch for the upper bag mounts. think that will work
