Raised wood floor?
Are any vendors building a kit to raise floors yet. I would think that the market would be solid now for it. I saw Rob @ no limit did something with one of his builds. I am tired of fabricating every piece and just want to buy something to help along with raising a bed floor. I know some work would have to be done in the wheel well area, just thinking out loud. Daniel.

Re: Raised wood floor?
I think porterbuilt has been talking about it. Hopefully some vendors chime in and see there is a market for it.

Re: Raised wood floor?
Thinking about just making spacers on top of the cross braces and installing another set of cross braces on top of the spacers to raise just the floor and re drilling the holes for the wheel tubs in the bed sides. You think this would work?

Re: Raised wood floor?
I don't think the stock wheel wells will allow you to raise the bed floor high enough to clear the rear frame and suspension. I think you will have to cut them down.

Re: Raised wood floor?
There is no nicer raised wood bed out there than the one Delmo did on the '65. Sectioned the wheel tubs 3".

Re: Raised wood floor?
The prob w/a 'kit' is many builders take a different approach to the rear frame sections which requires differing floor heights...

Re: Raised wood floor?
agreed. every rear-end is done differently, so it would require some kind of custom work. I am happy that I raised my floor - it has made room for my air suspension management, my fuel cell, and maybe some other future items

Re: Raised wood floor?
Found it in your build thread, is your tailgate welded shut from the wood floor frame?
