Luv,
You can't tell the difference between the k5 front axle you have and WHAT? The back axle? To figure rear end ratios, jack up one wheel and put the trans in neutral. Make a mark on the drive shaft, and count how many times it turns for one revolution of the wheel. Brian |

First Gen K5's all came with Dana 44's. Just by looking at the axel, you won't be able to tell what the gearing is.
Colorado K5 has an axle identification chart - http://coloradok5.com/axleguide.shtml and a Blazer spec chart http://coloradok5.com/specs.shtml

If you have an LMC catalog, they've got a pretty nice 'how to i.d.' pic on the pages with rear end parts. I'd hook you up, but I don't have a scanner. Anyone else???
