Lower Grille Support Brackets?
Where do these attach exactly? I know they attach somewhere on the lower grille support panel but I can't seem to figure out where.
Does anyone have a picture? The diagram GM has shows them in a blow up view but not exactly where.

Re: Lower Grille Support Brackets?
They are located just inboard of the frame rails.
The back end of those brackets bolts to the bottom edge of the radiator support and they run forward to the grille support panel. Both the radiator support and the grille support panel should have factory weld-nuts on their bottom edges where those brackets attach. |

Re: Lower Grille Support Brackets?
Yes, I copied one of your pics and added a couple arrows.
The yellow arrow is pointing to the weld nut on the bottom of the radiator support that is used to attach one of these brackets. The red arrow is pointing to the general location where you should be able to find another weld nut on the bottom edge of the grille support panel. The brackets go right on the bottom with both bolts going straight up into those weld nuts. |

Yes, I "thought" I knew at one time, had the GM drawing and everything. Didnt have a clue! Or having brain flatulence.
Thank you ray_mcavoy & DPowers armed with that information I'm good.

Re: Lower Grille Support Brackets?
These are the only pics I had on file. Once you have them on the grille support, they will only line up one place with the radiator core support.

Re: Lower Grille Support Brackets?
Ya those mounts were both on the frame with factory rivets installed. I have since removed the six cylinder set.
Here is a pic of underneath before I removed one set:
