NOS (Somewhat) Blazer Bed
I was about to take the plunge on a repro blazer bed when i found this NOS blazer bed for sale 20 minutes away from me. The story goes, that it had be bought in the late 70s from GM to be put on a shortbed truck. Ultimately, that project never materialized and it had been sitting in a barn since then. The catch is that the B pillar/ door jams had been cut off in a weird attempt by that owner to make it fit the swb. On the bright side, it was properly cut off at the seam where the bedside was spot welded to the door jam.
Will the door jam area of my blue blazer (see below), coupled with the door jam patch piece and the B pillar patch piece from Wes be enough sheet metal to patch this thing back together? If you have repaired the B pillar area before, i would very much value your input.

Re: NOS (Somewhat) Blazer Bed
Amazing find! I don't have much to add but my blue blazer had a quarter panel replaced years ago http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...6&postcount=78. I'll bet there's plenty there to work with. Curious if the quarters have holes for both 1x wall and 2x tops?

Re: NOS (Somewhat) Blazer Bed
I can tell from the inner bed rail that it had holes for both the 1x and 2x tops. I believe this was commonplace on all 72 and up bedsides correct? Unfortunately they were all filled in and the cage nuts were taken off. I'll likely open up the holes for both top types, as i currently don't know which type of top i'll use. I'm still on the hunt for a single wall!

Re: NOS (Somewhat) Blazer Bed
Check. That explains why I didn't see any holes. Yep - 72 had provisions for both styles of top and so did the replacement quarter on my blue blazer. Great score and good luck with the build.
