The one that got away.
I had my eye on this C-30 for a long time, but today when I was expecting to have a response in my mail box, I find that the truck is gone. Boo Hoo!
I guess the part that disappoints me the most is that a few years ago I asked about it, and was told it wasn't for sale. I since put notes in the door with no response. Two weeks ago I sent a letter through the mail, and now it's gone. Well time to look for anther C-30 I guess. |

Re: The one that got away.
I tried to buy a 55 chevy 4 dr with powerglide v8 and ps/pb from a person who lived two houses down from me. for 12 years.. one day some local hustler everybody in the area knows, is loading it up on a roll back. I walked up and asked the owner what he sold it for and he says 1500 bucks. I offered him 3K right there on the spot and he says its already sold. the new owner is just laughing at me. I have not talked to my neighbor since.

Re: The one that got away.
I feel ya. I've seen that happen a few times. I guess the only thing worse, is watching a classic rot into the ground, because the owner won't sell it because "he's going to fix it up when he gets to it".
I do have a good lead on another one that I'm going to look at this week. Hope it works out |
