Help on LS 3 power steering hook up

I'm connecting an LS3 power steering pump to an original steering gear on a 71 C10. I'm using a Detroit Performance braided hose setup. I've installed an All Star Performance adapter fitting for an AN fitting off the pump. The 90 degree fitting that is supposed to connect to the pump looks like it will simply not fit. Looks like it will rub on the pulley, even if I could connect it by removing the pulley. Anybody ever dealt with this issue?
Thanks,
Phil

did your engine come from a wrecked vehicle? ..on mine....the pulley center was actually bent back towards the mount. .still ran true but wasn't lined up with the other pulleys..

Looks like this might solve my issue: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/fla-fr1634

Anyone ever use this Flaming River fitting?

I used one made by Earls, and it's about $15 cheaper than that FR offering. Made for the same reason. Clearing the PS pulley on an LS swap.

Re: Help on LS 3 power steering hook up

I did what you are trying to do . What I did order a hose for a 04 corvette and removed the end that went to the pump and had it crimped onto the hose for the pump . The corvette hose has a long piece that drops down below the pulley with a nut on it to tighten . I did this long before there was aftermarket parts available . Looks like the piece from summit will do the same thing and work fine .

I do like the flaming river one better . It has a place for a wrench when tightening up and loosening the AN nut as well as install and removal of the fitting .

Thanks guys. Time for a Summit order online, which now seems to be about a weekly event.
