Dip Stick Tube
I'm replacing the dipstick tube in my 72 with 350 engine. Does anybody have any tricks on how to press the tube in the block?

Re: Dip Stick Tube
An open end wrench around the flange and tap the wrench with a hammer will work .or a flat punch

Re: Dip Stick Tube
I used a line wrench. It slid on and stayed by itself while I tapped it with a long screwdriver.
A nut would have worked well. Just slide it over the tube and tap with a punch or screwdriver.

Re: Dip Stick Tube
I also put some high temp RTV silicone about 1/2 in down from the flange to seal it up good.
