1986 c30 survivor

looking for opinions on value... 1986 c30 with 454, 87k miles, original paint, runs great, smogs just fine. tailgate is still around but has a dent. interior is really nice (it had a windshield cover while parked). cracked windshield, but otherwise it's all there and super straight and rust free. inside of bed is super straight. starts right up, runs smooth and quiet. looking for truck value mainly, but if anyone has thoughts on the camper i'd be interested in camper value as well, it says "rancho el rae" supposedly a 1968 model. thanks in advance.

Nice. If this was listed at a government auction I could see it bring 5-6 grand to START.

I agree, that's quite the truck, always cool to see them in original shape like that.

Well, apparently there's a market for these in Saudi Arabia. This bad boy is heading EAST!

Re: 1986 c30 survivor

I picked up a pretty clean 1979 a few years back with a big block that needed about 600.00 worth of work to it. Balancer, water pump, tune up, leaking fuel tank hoses etc. I fixed it up, and a broker bought it and was shipping it to Germany.

Re: 1986 c30 survivor

Did you get it and sell to a Saudi or was it sold out from under you? Just curious.
I recently sold a '71 utility body truck on CraigsList that went to Australia....seems our trucks are popular overseas.

Loved that truck. I always hate to see them go to the middle east. Very unlikely they will ever come back to the US, and I have to think the guys over there won't keep them bone stock, but maybe I am wrong. My 72 GMC 3/4 big block 2wd went to Qatar.

My experience is they want to keep their trucks meticulously stock. There was a young fellow from Qatar who was going to college locally and I spent some time with him. He shared with me several reproduction parts that were supposed to be exact duplicates of the originals that the middle east buyers rejected because they had found a small difference. Maybe someone who has pictures from a truck show in the middle east could post them. It is amazing to see how many trucks they have there.
