How do you clean inside a side marker lens?
I removed the old gaskets from my side marker lenses but there is dirt/road grime inside the lenses up in the edges. I tried soaking in detergent water but no luck.
I have been told by a knowledgeable source these are glued together. How would you guys get that grime out? it looks bad from the outside of the truck. |

Unless you want original, or even NOS replacements, order a new set from one of the vendors here. For $50 or less you'll have nice clean lenses to accent your nice paint.
For years I struggled with the same conundrum until one day at a truck show I saw new ones on a display. Done. |

could you use a bottle brush. If you have a lab supply company around you , or even the internet, you might be able to find one. I have use tapered bottle brushes for cleaning test tubes in a lab, just a thought.

Bottle brush might be an idea to try. A junkyard guy priced his at $8.00 a piece, I'll call him and ask if those are new or old. Thanks guys.

I used Q-tips and zip ties with pieces of rags glued to the ends. And for the best bang for the buck is "Purple Power" from Dollar General, that stuff cuts anything! Careful around paint with that stuff though because it is a mild acid solution cleaner but great for plastics...

Small screw driver with rag on the end with some kind of cleaner soaked. Tooth brush may work also.

Get some long pipe cleaners from the craft section, fold them in half and twist a few together, works like a charm.
