Newport wiper motor cheers, Brothers wiper arms jeers.
Got a Newport wiper motor and linkage arms from Classic Parts. I coughed up the extra cash to get a USA made motor and it was worth it. The wiper arm/blade combo from Brothers were dinky and the splines were poorly cut and they spun on the knurl of the linkage.

I'm happy with the Newports in my truck. I have recommended them here on the forum when anyone asked.

I got my wiper arms from Brothers and they worked just fine on my Raingear setup.

Arms and blades from LMC and they function better than expected with my Raingear setup.

Re: Newport wiper motor cheers, Brothers wiper arms jeers.
The replacement arms I got from Classic Parts were the same brand as Brothers. They are cheap and flimsy. I searched the internet and the forum to no avail. The previous owner left me a box 'o parts that included two Trico adjustable wiper arms that are top quality but they need refills that I can't find after extensive searching. Any leads or suggestions?

I'm making do with the arms/blades I got from Classic Parts. Not thrilled with them but in this arid climate they don't get a lot of use. In Seattle it might be different.
There are several sets of Trico adjustable wiper arms on EBay motors but no blades or refills. Last edited by xaircav; 10-02-2017 at 09:45 AM. |
