Suburban barn doors
I have a question. Can barn doors be fitted on a Suburban that was originally equipted with tailgate and hatch. I am looking at a set of barn doors but do not have both here to measure or look at.

Re: Suburban barn doors
You can add add the barn doors. You will need to drill holes to add the door catches top and bottom. It was done to my suburban before I purchased it.

Re: Suburban barn doors
Do you have pictures of your barn door install? I have a 71 that was switched from the clam shell to the barn doors prior to purchase and none of the door hardware was included/provided. I am having a hell of a time finding the hardware for the barn doors.

Re: Suburban barn doors
I think pwdcougar was doing such a swap. In his build thread it seem like he found some difference in the sill plates

Re: Suburban barn doors
You will have to make the door strikers. My 70 burb was missing one and I could not fine one anywhere. Quite easy to make though.
