Re: 283 Power pack heads

Not a huge market as they don't have hard seats in them but they work great on a 307 with a decent cam. My son and I put together a budget 307 with power pack heads and a take out mid 80's Z28 Cam that was a Portland swap meet find complete with lifters that had the lobe number marked on them with a sharpie. In a 70 Chev pickup that engine shocked a number of guys in crosswalk to crosswalk blasts.

My ongoing truck projects:
48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
