WTB Hood for my 77
I am in need of a nice rust and wrinkle free hood for my 77 GMC.
I live in central Texas so the closer the better. |

I looked this weekend. I have an original oem hood for 73-78 that is for the external hood release only. Not for trucks with inside the cab hood release. I looked at the center and it is not crimped. Looks like it has never been bent in the middle like most. It has white paint on it and i do not see any rust along the front edge like most. I looked inside the front leading edge of the hood. No rust there either. Like i said it is the 73 to 78 hood. They changed the front of the hood in 79 and all replacement hoods are the newer style. If it was for the inside hood release i would not be selling it. You can buy aftermarket much cheaper but id sell this one for $300.
Let me know if your interested and ill take it out and wash it off for some pictures. Thanks Frank

I will get it out one day this week. I have to wait until one of my sons comes home to help me so i dont damage it pulling it out. They are in college but only at Texas A&M so not far away. Im sure one of them will come by the house for something this week.
