Re: Brought my 59 home today
just mount the seat belts wherever is handy and put a piece of plate 3/16" steel plate on the bottom to keep the bolt from pulling thru the thin sheet metal of the floor board is there should be a wreck.
Jeeze, what a treasure. might want to check the build date on the tires before driving it much of anywhere. even if the tread itself is like new the tires can be old and dry rotted, subject to blow outs. I has this happen on a 56 T-bird I was resurrecting. tires looked like new but had a blow-out as soon as I drove. Tire store guy laughed at me, said the tires were 15 years old, what was I expecting? ooof. |
