1991 ccsb duramax

Here's the new project it's a 1991 v3500 454 4l80 power windows power locks power rear slider a/c cruse control 4x4 tilt wheel. I've been looking for one of these truck for 10 years and finally found it at Copart for $900

the only other kind of motor i would even think about putting in my crew in place of the 454.
if you dont mind, how much did you get your d-max for? there stupid expensive south of your border in bc.
we have 5 d-max crews at work, keep telling the guys to get in an accident- preferably rear ended and wipe out the back half...
ding ding ding cheap d-max...

That is incredible progress for just one week!

I must ask, did you remove the window seals for painting or mask them off somehow? Looks like it turned out well.

want more pics of that custom cross fill fuel tank filler unit please .

being a 91 with efi tanks and intank pumps they should make you nice lift pumps .

and nice project build .

I built the crossfill on my truck using exhaust tubing and straight filler neck hose. then I welded collars to the bottom of each gas tank and tubed them together with 3/8"SS tubing. acts like one big tank now. Mine only fills from the driver side

71 gal or 66 gal total capacity ?

my bracket i made years ago for a 31 gal blazer tank install in a k30 frame .

the first 3 are the new rear crossmember .

the lips of the angle iron are what hold the tank in place and the straps hold it up in place .

Sweet build! And holy smokes $900 for that truck would be a steal where I'm at. How hard is it to fit a dmax in a square body? And what trans do you plan on running?

Nice rig. I'll be following. Let me know if you want to sell those camper tie downs from the front of the bed. Happijac stopped selling them and I've been keeping an eye out for a pair.
