Body work help needed

My 55 3100 2 series has a couple of areas that need some extensive body work and I was wondering if anyone here has any ideas on how/the best way would be to repair these areas

I have attached pictures of the areas in question ...Any help would be greatly appreciated

I would hope that the major truck trinket vendors sell replacement or patch panels for those areas. Check and see what Premiere Street rods has as they build new TF cabs. https://www.premierstreetrod.com/ Their website is a bit confusing as they lump all models in together rather than having a section for AD pieces and a section for TF pieces.

Looks like simple rust repair using fresh metal patches. If you can't locate any commercially-made pieces at aftermarket retailers just weld it in one flat piece at a time and grind it more or less smooth. Not sure how experienced you are, but you can just Google "patch panel installation," or check out this article:

I did mine all the patch panels are from off shore so they all need to worked so be warned nothing will be easy look at my build pics.

Agreed, sometimes its actually easier to just piece it together piece by piece. some of the after-market pieces fit so bad, making your own can save you some aggravation, as stated, this will depend on your skill level. If you are contemplating doing this work yourself, you probably have the tools and ability to do it. Patience is key here.

The OP needs to spend a few hours reading and searching the internet about rust repair.

I think we all agree, look to Classic Parts or Classic Industries to see if replacement patch panels are available. Many of us have had the same issues at some point in time so see if you can salvage the sheet metal 1st by grinding down to remove the rust, if not, take your time and make your own, weld in, grind down and boom, you've done it yourself.

patch panels are available for all of those areas, many builds here address those areas
one thing to remember is all that rust is caused by the cowl vent not draining properly
chances are there is a lot more rust in the cowl vent area, remove the kick vents and feel in there for leaves and pine needles

fyi the cowl vent is that grill between your wiper bezels

ogre recommends shaving the cowl vent to keep the water out
