8 lug steelies
Don't know if anybody has posted this but I asked Detroit steel wheels about a year ago if they would be offering an 8 lug option for their wheels and they responded that they were working on it. I emailed them yesterday for an update and they responded this morning saying that they should be available the first quarter of 2018. They said they just passed all testing and are waiting on tooling for the hardening process. Prices should fall in line with their current offerings, maybe a slight increase. No word on if they'll offer an artillery style. They have a sign up list if you contact them, they'll let you know when they become available. Thought I would share this for my fellow 8 luggers.

Re: 8 lug steelies
I hope you’ll be able to adapt a 3/4 ton hubcap to them.
There’s a company down here in Australia making them now too. I haven’t teased myself with pricing because I want them bad but can’t justify the cost of new wheels and tyres.

Re: 8 lug steelies
If They run similar price to their 5 and 6 lug they should be between 250 to 300 bucks a wheel. There's someone on Instagram that machines the transit wheels to 8 lug I don't know how much he charges though. I just got a reply that they will offer artillery style also.

Re: 8 lug steelies
Are they steelies, as in stock style wheels, or custom wheels made of steel like shown? Pictures would help.

Re: 8 lug steelies
What Detroit Steel is calling a steelie is actually a smoothie. Terms sure get messed up when a manufacturer uses the wrong terms for their own product. Steelies are OEM style wheels that virtually every US-built car and pickup came with from the 40s till late-80s/early-90s.
