64 bench seat adjusting cable
Does anyone know who sells the springs and cable used for adjusting a stock bench seat? I know classic parts carries the spring on the drivers side. Can not locate a cable that runs from driver to passenger side

Re: 64 bench seat adjusting cable
It is not a cable its a solid rod. You will need to find one from a seat they are reproduced that I know of.

Ok thank you. Not sure mine is the original 64 seat. The adjusting knob is black. The ones for that year I see in parts catalogs are bare metal. I found a replacement cable thru LMC truck. Do you know if there are pics on underneath a correct seat as a guide to go by?

Re: 64 bench seat adjusting cable
You may want to post a picture of the seat and how it was mounted. That may help identify the seat you have. Once we figure out the seat you have finding the parts it is missing will be easier.

Sounds like you have a 67-72 seat. If you don't need original a wire works fine.

Re: 64 bench seat adjusting cable
I trimmed the longest section from a tomato cage to replace that rod.
