1972 C10 Help
I have 1972 cab. 1969 Frame (I think, it was a six cylinder, 6 lug, coil spring, long bed frame). I have all new LMC body parts to build a 1967.
I have mocked up the cab, front end, and frame. I have the 1/2 ton cab supports under the cab. To get the fenders to line up I have 2" of clearance under the radiator core support. I don't see any radiator core support cushions that tall. Has anyone run into this? |

I would say you need the 3/4 ton rubber cab support cushions for your frame. The C-20 rear rubber cushions are taller than the C-10 cushions and using them would bring the core support down by about that much.... Can you post a picture of your rear cab mounts? LockDoc

I have a 70 gmc and using a 68 frame. The radiator support brackets on the frame of the 68 are different in height then the 70 I forget which way.Mine is still in pieces but i remember taking the brackets off the 70 frame cause i was going to need them.I believe thats where your trouble is.

Re: 1972 C10 Help
The cab cushions I have are about 1" tall the 3/4 tons mounts are taller so that will no help.
I've attached a picture. I have wood blocks in place of the core support mounts. |
