I don't see why you couldn't dye the parchment ones you have coming. We dyed (painted) the arm rests for our rear seat in the blazer and they turned out great I think. I am not sure if it would be hard to get it to look even with such a big piece as the rear panels.

We are just making new backboards for our blazer, and then covering them with some vinyl/houndstooth to match our seats....still not sure how to make it look good tho'

Randy- when are you gonna post some pics of your blazer on this blazer board?? I wanna see!!!!
Diane

The secret in changes the color is the cleaning. They must be cleaned and cleaned again and pay close attention to the corners or the paint will start to flake off.

prep is a big part of it, I did all my plastic panels black and used Bulldog primer on them and have had no problem with any...

Randy, we pulled a pair of black interior rear quarter panels out of a junker last month. I have them sitting aside but they are too far gone to use for anything other then a pattern. Apparently they got water on them and soaked the cardboard backing and someone also put speakers into them. If you need a pattern or details of what/how---I may be able to help you out a bit.
I have built panels for cars/trucks before and they are not hard to build but originals that you can re-dye are probably easier ----but not necessarly better as black roll/pleat naugahide is readily available and you can insulate them all you want. (:>) Huck
