Hickey or Con-ferr style front axle truss
Old school Hickey or Con-Ferr style. Made in USA using all US made grade 8 yellow zinc hardware and US made hot rolled steel (not the softer cold steel). 3/4" rod, 1/2" and 3/4" plate. This will keep your axle tubes in place and will look great doing it, won't bend easy on rocks like an original. Chassis satin black powder coating. $225 Shipped to the continental 48. Postal MO or No Fee Paypal.
A complete hardware kit is available separately for rebuilding your original front truss. Grade 8 Hardware kit contains 2-grade 8 u-bolts with nuts and washers, 2-truss end nuts and washers $50 Shipped to the continental 48 Last edited by midunes; 09-25-2014 at 02:20 PM. |

Re: Hickey or Con-ferr style front axle truss
I seem to recall you were working on a rear axle truss. Ever get that together yet.

Could you post a picture of the original setup so people can visualize.

Re: Hickey or Con-ferr style front axle truss
who is your question directed to me or MIDUNES. I thought MIDUNES was working on a rear axle truss but have not seen anything yet. Wish I could find someone to duplicate the old school GO-RHINO one. I found a front but am still hunting for a rear. I'm sure I could get somebody to make one but it's cost prohibitive. I have a guy that did some work on my roll bar but again he's not cheap and I am LOL
