trucks Are Funny
I was watching this '66 Chevrolet saleman's training film and thought I'd share these comical little bits. Truck stuff starts at 24:00
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AluAp2s2M-0 These aren't TV ads, these were what Chevy made as a sales training tool to dealerships. Great productions for salesmen's eyes only.

Re: trucks Are Funny
Thanks for posting special K, a very crisp and clear video, unlike others. The big 3 constantly are comparing there products to the competition and do several of there own tests in house. If one competitor gets a jump on the other, they soon follow up. Its a business, and they must compete to get the business or loose sales or eventually go out of business. So eventually, all products are pretty similar, plus or minus a few, when equipped with similar options. They did a pretty good job of equipping the Custom Camper and Camper Special similiarly, but the Ford was 208 hp 2bbl carb with 4.10 ratio compared to the Chevy with 220 hp 4 bbl carb and 4.56 ratio. One will accelerate faster and one will probably get better mpg's.

Re: trucks Are Funny
I am amazed at the quality of this re-made video. They slant things, as with any promotional efforts. Most comparisons with the big 3 cars compares Chevy with one or the other, never all three. I'd assume the one left out did as well or better. But what caught my attention right up front in the intro was the use of the word "salemanship". I don't think that's even a word anymore
