15x12 wheels?
I'm curious to see if anyone is running 15x12 with 33" tires with a 2.5-3" lift?

Re: 15x12 wheels?
I'm not running 15" x 12" wheels but instead running 15" x 10" wheels with a 3" lift. The tires are 33 x 12.50. Hopefully the pictures give you an idea of how this lift looks with a slightly more narrow wheel.

Re: 15x12 wheels?
Do you have any rubbing?
I have 15x10's I plan on mounting some day. 4" front, 3" rears, currently running 35's and rallies, but want to drop down to 33's, (3:08 rears). Your Blazer is one of my favorite ones out there, set up perfectly |

Re: 15x12 wheels?
Thank you for the compliments.
I've attached a few more pictures to give you an idea of how the stance is set up. The front tires stick out beyond the fenders so I personally like wouldn't run anything wider than 10 inch wheels and 12.50 tires. The rear tires sit flush to fenders though. I've never had any rubbing with the tire wheel combo I'm running. I drive on the streets only so I don't know if it would rub if the suspension moved more with some off road action. It's been a while since I bought the wheels but I'll see if I can find the backspacing info.

Re: 15x12 wheels?
A 12" rim is too wide for a 12.5" wide tire. 10 is as far as I would go but 9 is probably better (easily done if you go to 17" rims).
I have 9.75 wide 16.50 rims on my Jimmy with 35 12.5 16.50 BFG AT's. They fit great. They replaced a set of 35 12.5 15 BFG MT's on 15x10 Centerlines which was fine as well. I used to have a set of Bart's 15x12 wheels with 35 14.5 GroundHawgs on them and the 12" rim worked for that width tire, but it was STUPID heavy and wide. I wouldn't even think about 12" wide rims.

Re: 15x12 wheels?
The backspacing, according to my measurement, is 3 5/8".

Re: 15x12 wheels?
if you can find the specs for the tires you're looking at, should list suggested rim width range..
and remember section width given in the tire size is not actual width, actual tread width will be narrower.. and rim widths will be close to tread width down to as much as 1-2" narrower depending on sidewall design.. check the specs on these for reference; ALL-TERRAIN T/A KO2 - SIZE: LT33X12.5R15 these are 33x12.55r15 Thornbirds on 8.5" Western Hurricanes, and Interco recommends 10" Thornbird these are 9.00x16 Super Lugs on late model 6.5" takeoffs.. spec calls out 10.4 wide at 36" tall on 6.5" rim.. SUPER TRAXION, SUPERLUG TUBELESS good luck!

Re: 15x12 wheels?
Here's a picture of a Blazer Chalet that I stumbled across with 12" wide wheels. Great looking truck and the 12s look great on this setup but I wouldn't go beyond 10" wide wheels without the chalet.
