Lowering Shackles

Looking to lower the rear of my 68 GMC 1500 by about 3-4 inches. It has leaf rear springs. Drop spindles already in front when I bought the truck. Trying to get the rear to match the front. Will 3 inch lowering shackles achieve this and if so will shocks need to be replaced?

Re: Lowering Shackles

I'm not aware of anyone making 3" shackles. Usually it's 2" shackles combined w/2" front hangers. There's also just doing a flip kit (~5" drop) as well as dropped (re-arched) leafs.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
