NV4500 swap Muncie SM465
Im considering swapping my current Muncie sm465 for a NV4500 and just looking for general advice. Can i keep the stock clutch? Stock input shaft specs? How much do.i have to shorten driveshaft? Shifter alignment?
Any pther tips and advice much appreciated. |

You might want to search here, as well as go to Advance Adapters web site and get their conversion guide. As I recall 93-95 and 96 up are a bit different in the bolt pattern and reverse on the later trans had a synchro as well as a slightly less steep first, etc. 95 was a transition year if I recall so its a bit unique.
Oh, and Dodge used them so there are Dodge versions that I think need the input shaft replaced to work on GM. |
