Fan Shroud?

Looking at the picture, what does, (if anything) bolt to the top of the rad shroud?

There are 2 holes that look like something belongs there.

Some years(81/82) had the high side a/c line running across the top of the shroud.The 2 holes were for screws to hold the line.
GM continued to use the shroud for later years,but the line ran across the top front of the engine.

That shroud is supposed to have a metal band/clamp style retainer for the upper radiator hose.
