I think for a 1K shipping it will be cheaper then hotel and gas money? The only thing missing would be finding new friends along the way.

I'm telling you, you would have $2,500 worth of fun.

Re: new to board
I would think any one of these guys that like to drive these trucks would love to drive your truck to your house. For one they know a lot about the trucks.Plus they can note anything that might need fixing.Plus if it dose brake down they would know how to fix it.I knew of this company that was bonded and INS that would drive your truck cross country. To get this type of INS would be less then paying 800-1500 Its just a thought.
If i wanted to take on this drive.I put a camper shell on the bed to house my tools if needed and spare parts. Then i buy a set of stock 16 inch rims I already have the tires i would run on his truck witch would be the 235/85/16 Michelin rib tires they ride like caddy's and they get up words to 200K per set of tires I buy a set of snow chains and cloths for the long trip take 3-5 days. I would never use a set of tires i did not know anything about plus you check at a shop all the workings of your truck. Then its smooth sailing |

Re: new to board
I was asking your opinion on what paint system you would recommend to do the frame with. I will be doing a frame on restoration in sections as things get taken apart while still driving. I do not have a spray gun so it would be painted on or rattle cans. Probably should start a thread in the paint section
