If you had the choice, which wheel would you get, the Boyd Coddington Smoothie II or the American Racing Torque Thrust II's?

Definitely the Torque Thrusts. That is a look that will never go out of style, IMO.

Smoothie II. I saw several of both this weekend at a show, but there are way too many TTII's on the road for my liking. Both wheels are nice though, obvoiusly.

the first--i believe tork thurster-looks cleaner with more class--but if your putting them on the swb-c-10---take a look at eagle's no. 149----it flows just the same but with better and more lines.....oh - yeah--in the 10 inch wide....just a thought for you.....

TTII.

Keduhl has the Smoothies and he'lls spend 4 hours polishing them and they always look less shiney than my wifes Intros that take me 5 minutes per wheel to polish.

i really like ttII's but as someone mentioned already they have gotten so popular lately that you see them everywhere. and that makes me kind of tired of them. same thing happened with eagle 212's. good looking wheel. just too many of them out there to set your truck apart from everyone elses

of the two I like the torque thrusts. I would keep looking though, they do seem to be everywhere.

TT2's are hard to beat for looks, but they are getting a bit played. Check out some of the other classic styles out there if thats the look you are after.

I guess I could also throw in the ole Crager SS in the mix which was the wheel to get in the late 60's and early 70's. Only problem was the pitting chrome plating over the steel wheels, when I had a set on a Firebird I had.

Well, being as I have TTII's on my truck, I vote for them.

Really, IMO, no matter what wheel you get, it needs to be a classic design. Again, IMO, it just doesn't look right to have a new design wheel on a older truck.

One thing is for sure, if you get a polished billet wheel, be prepared to polish your a$$ off. I love the look of a polished wheel much better than chrome. Chrome just looks cheap to me. But man, keeping them looking good is not for a lazy person.

If you are going for more of an original look (keeping trim not modding the body etc.) the I say get the TTII's.
If you plan to bag, lower, shave, etc. I say get the smoothie's.

Both wheels look nice. I think the TTII's will look good either way you go. But I think the smoothies will only look good on a lowered shaved truck.
