frame cross brace
On the frame of my truck nearest the back bumper there is a frame cross brace that connects the frames together that is mangled and ripped out most of the rivets that hold it. question is does anyone have this brace piece for sale or know where i can get one through the mail or net. like i said its the one nearest the back heres a pic. i know i could search the bone yards but the nearest one like 50 miles away and would rather find one could have delivered.

looks like 33 inches at its longest spot at the bottom and on the top of frame frame where connects there is only one rivet on each side and from the top rivet holes in frame the distance is 31 1/2" and on the bottom there are 2 rivets on each side and from farthest out ones the measurement from hole to hole is 31 and 3/4" my measurements could be just a bit off as its pretty bent but they got to be close. let me know this would be great

We hacked up a '70 something 3/4ton frame last week, I'll check it out. If not there's another couple I'll look at.

Not to highjack this thread but since we are talking about items that require a donor truck, hilbilly, do you have the front spring hangers for the rear springs from that 71?
Budweis I believe you'll need to find a donor vehicle which it sounds like hilbilly might have you covered.

I guess my stuff must be newer. the overall length is 33", but the one useable one we got has two rivit holes on the top. If you think it will work, let me know and you can have it.

Jims70GMC, most of the stuff we have is mid to late 70's, here's a pic of the lastest. It's getting a new power plant (again). The blue one is a '88 1/2ton body we swaped to a 70 something 3/4ton frame with corp 14 ff and D44 upfront

if it measures 33" and tucks between the frame rails it will prob work. does it look similar to pics above? the height top to bottom bolt holes somewhere around 4 and 1/2 inches. if the same dimensions i could definitely use it. just pm me let me know so we can set up transaction.
