Most appreciated Longhorn man
Can you tell me why some are painted white, is it model or year specific? Also I checked out the caddy swap, pretty cool, Im planning a 455 buick for mine, w/aluminum intake it weighs the same as a small block chevy @ 575lbs, and you gotta love 510lbs of torque @ 2800 rpms I know that puts a dager through many diehard chevy fans heart, but its just by choice, everthing I own has a big block buick Thanks 69 Buick GS stage 1 4/sp 70 Buick GS stage 1 auto 67 Nova procharged 455 72 Chevy 3/4 longbed- (soon to be dually with late model bed) Last edited by 72dually; 05-02-2004 at 12:51 PM. |

The white ones were base model, while the bright ones were optional.
I have a gray one with the exact same pant scheme too, but I am not sure where it fits into the whole thing. It is exactly like the white and the stainless ones, just where the white would be, it is a med shade of gray. (think a step or two darker than primer) I have looked at it and it appears to be original. One thing to look for when looking at these hub caps, the later trucks (73 and up) had a style that looks just like this, but the bow tie is yellow instead of blue. |
