Recommend a good fuse block?
Looking for a good simple fuse block to go under the hood of my 87. Preferably one that won't really take up much room. I've got a lot of stuff I want to go to the battery, and if I do it all, there will be a mess at the battery terminals. I'm also hoping that using a fuse block won't interfere with all that "straight to battery" goodness that you get, from going straight to the battery lol. Stuff like the headlight relay mod (already installed) and the power window relay mod. Among a few other things.

Parts stores can order a fuse block from Auveco or you can download the Auveco catalog and give the parts store the part number. There may be better ones out there. We'll see what the other guys have to say.

Re: Recommend a good fuse block?
One option is a junction block from a 90's Chevy PU.
http://troubleshootmyvehicle.com/gm/...ircuit-tests-1 Scroll down a bit for a pic. If you get one from a Pull-A-Part type place, you should be able to get a lot of the wires as well. Many of which include factory installed fusible links. |

Re: Recommend a good fuse block?
Thanks for the recommendations.
Now an electricity newb question: Is there any efficiency lost by going through a fuse block? For example, many of us like to wire up relays straight to the battery, to better power stuff. Like headlights and power windows. Would anything that you gained by doing that, be lost by going through a new fuse block after the relays? |

I like marine-grade stuff for under the hood, like this or similar: https://amazon.com/dp/B000THQ0CQ/
You can even get custom labels made, which is a nice touch if you are in to that level of detail. |

Thought about doing that, as I have that same one on my boat. Used it to rig up a lot of lights. Wasn't sure if it was the right idea for under a hood though.
