Are all outer AD door mouldings the same?
I need to get a pair of outer stainless door window mouldings for my 1948 Chevy and I am wondering if they are the same from 47-54/55 and GMC and Chevy.
I Believe they are all the same but I was surprised to learn that the inside ones are thicker on the trucks with a vent window because the glass had no frame on it. I don't want to make a mistake like that buying the outer ones! Also, does anyone know if the reproduction ones are any good. And if the steel reproduction ones are any thicker metal than the originals? I see the reproduction stainless ones are available, of course I am "thrifty" so they are expensive but if they are really nice I could go for it. Brian

I think the 51 and later moldings have a notch for the vent wing post but let me go out and look through my stash.

To add onto Martinsr’s question— will the trim fit on a standard door? I assume it will, but my Deluxe Panel currently has a replaced standard door on one side..

Outside trim painted or stainless is the same all years. Inside is different because of the vent window.
