Edelbrock Performenr Secondaries Stuck Open?
I've search quite a bit but have not found what I'm looking for. I had an Edelbrock Performer series carb installed in my 1970 C10 350. I know almost Nothing about carbs so I need some advice. Should the secondaries always be open? My guess is not but I dont know for sure. It has an electric choke and uses the original linkage. but it seems to be a mechanical issue. I've included some pictures if that helps. I apologize for the rotation.
Any advice is really appreciated. Thanks!! |

Re: Edelbrock Performenr Secondaries Stuck Open?
Do you mean the throttle plate is stuck open?
Linkage to connect secondary to primary is behind the choke. Or are you looking at the top of the secondaries? |

The plate. So I bet I'm actually talking about the primary throttle plate. That explains why its partially open when cold (as it is in the pic) and fully open when warmed up.
Geezz I'm a knuckle head. Well its never possible to learn less about something. |

That’s the choke plate you’re talking about.
