Camber sleeves
Just wondering if anyone has tried to adjust the camber on their trucks with one of the camber sleeve kits. The come in different degrees and they replace the screw in sleeve that goes in the upper spindle that is used to put tension in the ball joint.

Re: Camber sleeves
Yes, My 81 has offset camber sleeves on the top that were installed probably over 30 years ago by a alignment shop not long after I first bought my 81
I need to replace the steering ball joints on the pass side. Im going to check to see if the spindle is bent or notm.... I dont think it is. I marked and reinstalled in the same offset position the offset sleeve on the drivers side when I did that side ball joints //

Re: Camber sleeves
I am going to bring truck down for a alignment. I will get the toe in adjusted and get them to check the camber. If camber is out I will then know how many degrees and decide what to do. Moog only has camber cams that go to 1/2 degree but they have shims that mount between spindle and knuckle that go to 1 1/4. If it is out more than that you can stack them.

Re: Camber sleeves
I've tried them and it's a little difficult to get the correct pre-load on them. You have to get them oriented the correct way so that means you have to turn it in one specific position. I eventually pulled them out and put in straight ones.
Here is what I used:

Re: Camber sleeves
You could use these camber rings between the spindle....
