Only the YE9 trim level {Chevy Cheyenne Super/GMC Sierra Grande & Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra Classic} included the special insulation. Insulation was not part of the Base, Z62, or Z84 trim level packages. If you look at the SPID or build sheets on trucks with the lower trims and hood insulation you'll likely find K81 or B3J.
