Jump start gone wrong?
So I made the mistake of letting someone else mess with my truck. My uncle said he needed it moved out of the garage and it couldn't wait. Evidently the battery was dead so he attempted to jump start it but it didnt work? Well I got there and put the battery on the charger and it started up no problem, bur the dims werent working and the radio no longer worked. It also appears that the battery is draining. I replaced the bulbs and that took care of that issue. Now stuck eith the radio. It is an aftermarket radio the previous owner put in, has power to both power sources for it. I have replaced and check all fuses. Im unsure what else to look for, everything else seems to be working.

Re: Jump start gone wrong?
I forgot to mention, I checked the light switch as well and the yellow wire had melted the plastic on the plug.

Re: Jump start gone wrong?
Check to see if you have 12v at the fuse box for the radio lead. Might be an in-line fuse on the power lead or a blown fuse in the radio itself. Also, start at your battery and check the power leads back to the fuse box. If it caused the headlight switch to get the hot, there may be some other wires that are mangled.
It could have damaged the ignition switch causing some things to have power all the time like heater/AC fan or?

Re: Jump start gone wrong?
May have blown one of the fusible links down at the starter solenoid
