Suburban body mounts
Hey guys, what is everyone using for body mounts? I found some on eBay, but I am hesitant to buy them, even though they say they should fit. Mine look squished and rotted, almost resemble a s'more that was cooked for too long, marshmallow cracked and coming out of the cracker. 1969 C20 Burb, if it matters.
Here's one I am hesitant about. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Energy-Susp...s/161432260797 |

Re: Suburban body mounts
lol,
I bought the same energy mount kit from amazon for my panel truck. The hardware was heavy in the box and must have got slammed around in the truck because the box was open and I found some hardware in my driveway and some missing. I will just re-use some of the old stuff, it's not an exact replacement, the bolt length and shape of the rubbers are different but it should all work(I'm still working on my truck). From what I read on here these mounts make the truck ride a whole lot nicer.

Re: Suburban body mounts
Check the Vendor section. Wes from Classic Heartbeat or GMCPaul will have a good quality complete kit. I would stay away from LMC.

Re: Suburban body mounts
Little of both. Most of the feedback I heard was parts don't fit or don't last...
We have some good vendors on this site that should be able to get us almost anything we need. |

Re: Suburban body mounts
Wes can get you rubber OEM style bushings. LMC sells the Poly bushings that are most likely "Energy Suspension" brand. Depends on what you want and quality of ride. Poly is a little bit stiffer than OEM.
Nothing wrong with LMC in my book. Met there VP of marketing and chatted for over 30 mins with him in person. Used them many times, had one issue and they fixed it ASAP. Best catalog period. I use vendors also. Lots of parts come from the same area, just get re-boxed. Smitty

Re: Suburban body mounts
I got the ones for my Burban from Classic Heartbeat. Good stuff but you will have to reuse some of the old hardware. Some of my pieces were badly rusted and I had to come up with alternative solutions. I have more information on the first page of my WMB thread below.
