1 ton
went yesterday and picked up my K30 dually. i'm going to be putting the front axle, and gears out of the rear axle under my C/K10 project. i'd say i got a pretty decent deal. $800 for the whole truck. body is rough, and will most likely be totally scrapped except for the hood. it came with 2 SM 465s and 2 NP205s, too, so i might be able to sell them and get some of my money back.

Dually axles are wider than standard............as long as you are aware of that and the potential wheel choices..........

If you remove the DRW hub bodies and bolt on some SRW versions, the axle will be the same width (69" WMS-WMS) as a normal SRW axle. This is the only huge difference in GM dana 60's that I am aware of. However, SRW hub bodies are one of those highly coveted parts that wont be cheap. GM sells them new for around $190-200 a pop. You can also buy aftermarket for around the same price.

Or you can get hummer rims and keep the dually hubs.

I hear you. The 16.5" rims on my Chevy are alot stiffer then the 15" tires on my GMC. Both BFGs (well the mud(16.5) and ATs(15)).
