Rad for 53 Chevy, s10 Chassis and SBC
I am looking for a rad for my 53 Chevy truck on S10 chassis. I have a SBC 350 for the engine. I would like a rad that has the flanges on the sides to bolt to my core support. Can someone point me to a supplier or the part number of what they have used.
Thanks. Wade

My truck is on a S10 chassis with a 350. 1964-66 Mustang 289 V8 radiator fits nice in these trucks and cools them just fine. Mine runs 195 all the time. |

Re: Rad for 53 Chevy, s10 Chassis and SBC
Actually, I ran one of those for 10 years with no problems, then this summer it started leaking at the seam on top. Shop wanted $250.00 to recore it. No thanks.
Went to O'Reilly Auto Parts and got one ($144.00) opened the box and it looked terrible. Not much quality control in China I guess. Back it went. As luck would have it, Jeg's had that aluminum one on sale $136.39 shipped to my door. |

I guess you just need to hear it twice, I told you about the 67 mustang rad in your last "I need a radiator" thread.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...88&postcount=4 good to hear fiftytwo's review of the spectra one though, the problem I had with the local one is the fins got bent super easy
