Three speed on the column Upgrade.
Do overdrive transmissions that shift on the column manually exist? I like the style look of the column shift but I would like to go 65 and still be able to hear

Re: Three speed on the column Upgrade.
I've known of people hooking up 4spds to the 3spd linkage. But GM had your answer with your transmission plus a pull lever actuated electric auxiliary overdrive, if you can find one. There is always the brownie gear set-up where you use back to back transmissions for a wide rank of shifting options. You would retain the 3spd as is and add a lever for the aux trans,

Re: Three speed on the column Upgrade.
A column shift 3 speed stick W/ overdrive was an option on these trucks through '69. You could post a wanted ad in classifieds here for one of those setups. They are pretty rare and almost always need some work to function properly. Sweet setup when everything works as it should.
