Best Abrasive Disk for Silicon Bronze Welding

We are using Silicon Bronze wire in a MIG welder to weld in some patch panels and weld up the center seam in the hood. Any recommendations on the best abrasive disk (for my grinder) for grinding down the silicon bronze weld?

I'd say a couple of 40-60 grit flap disks. Try to move around and take breaks to keep the heat down.

I will add to Iowaboy, as I put in my "Basics of Basics" when referring to sand paper when blocking primer or bondo, you want NEW, SHARP, QUALITY discs so you CUT the weld and not polish it! CUTTING the weld quick reduces heat, it reduces damage because you can locate JUST what you want to remove easily.

Any special discs you would recommend Brian for silicon bronze?

3M roloc disc work great...you can quickly change grits and the scorchbrite disc and bristle disc also fit the same backing pad...

Nope, I use 3m and Winzer.
