Re: Extreme or Mild Dropmember

Yeah, so!!!, the longtube chevelle headers don’t fit for $h!t. The motor seems to sit to low in the frame to clear the PB engine mounts (dropmember side, not the ones on the motor), and the back of the PB lower control arms. I’m going to email Nate and see if raising the engine a touch might fix my problem. Looking at the referred to thread, mine hang lower than Adam’s (BossHogg1969) appear too. I’m going to do some adjusting on my next off day and see what I can figure out. Maybe between Nate and some tweaking, I can make theses work...’cause they are purty.

Re: Extreme or Mild Dropmember

After measuring and tweaking, I think my motor is at least 3/4” lower than the stock BBC location. I can’t even use a set of stock cast iron manifolds as it sits...

Whoa, that’s no bueno. Are you sure you don’t have the SBC mounts? Definitely get with PB and see what they say.

That's exactly what I think the problem is, but I can't get anyone from PB to confirm that the BBC mounts are taller than the SBC mounts... I know the stock mounts certainly raise the mounting location between the 2.
