Re: just bought my 69 C10
Very cool truck...and welcome to the website!..you're in the right place for classic GM trucks.
With that extended cab you'll have enough leg room for a 6'-8" frame...lol. Looks like a great project and it already looks to be in pretty good shape. All good Coley

Re: just bought my 69 C10
Not a fan of the color but a huge fan of the body style. I only wish Chevy had the thoughts to do this mod when these trucks were built new. I'm only 6'4, but understand the tight fit you would have. Congratulations on getting this one!

Re: just bought my 69 C10
I love the extended cab conversion. Most of them to me look hacked together, but this one looks natural. I look forward to seeing the progress!

Re: just bought my 69 C10
I'm going to be changing the color for sure.. I will be going with a dark color interior.. with black leather seats. Either going to go A dark metallic Blue or a dark metallic Emerald Green. Probably go stock height or a little lower. with some nice fat tires with some sidewall. I will stick with the 350/350 combo in it for now. but later maybe a 383 or a 406 and an overdrive Tranmission. or course since I live in Southern California it get very very hot so AC is a must.
Looking for info on a c20 suspension upgrade or figure out the Limits of the c10 5 bolt suspension.. Michael |

Re: just bought my 69 C10
SO today I bought a new bed an actual LWB bed pretty straight bed forgot to get pictures of it. I also picked up a C20 Longhorn frame with disc brakes to upgrade from the c10... will need to stretch the new frame to fit my cab and bed.
here is the new frame. I also plan to do dual fuel tanks and eithe rthe S10 marker light fuel door or the fold down rear tail light. need to figure out the tank locations and how I'm going to do the second filler. as well as how to make the dual tanks work.. I haven't figured out the drivetrain yet thinking 6L90E or an 8L90 or if it is possibly when I get to that point the 10R90..... which means I will probably be going LS or the new LT for the engine. I also will be completely upgrading the interior with full leather power bucket seats. I will custom make the back seat to match the front pattern.. I will get the power windows working. I will try to figure out how to get the rear windows to hopefully roll up and down... I have colors picked for the exterior as well as the accent colors on the body. I will look into possibly going to a wood bed. Michael |

Love just the idea of stretching a Longhorn frame. That truck looks great and is going to be even better.
