1980 non-folding bench seat track adjuster cable/rod?

Can't find one of these specifically for squarebody trucks, but see that LMC has one listed for '69-'72. Does anyone know if the LMC part will work?

I have some. Since I restore seats, I got a stash of just about everything. As for the LMC cable, I have one. I got it for a 68 seat. It may work if you go that route. I can compare the length with the original wire on the 77-80 seat. The LMC would definitely last longer.
You could probably just make your own, with cable cut to length from Lowes or Home Depot.

Thanks for the reply. Have been following your bench seat rehab thread and if the shipping rate wasn't so cost-prohibitive, you'd have my business for sure. Likely going to do what you suggest and either make my own cable like the LMC part or try a piece of piano wire.

Yeah I hate the shipping costs too, but the size, weight and distance is what dictates the rates. And the rates are made by FedEx. But on a good note, when I sell thru eBay, the rates are cheaper.

We are on opposite sides of the country, sorry. This weekend, I'll try and remember to get that LMC cable out and see if it's close to the originals length.

I believe that LMC cable, for the 67-72, will work. It is adjustable. As you can see, it is close enough in the length, that the adjustment will get you the length you need for your 80's seat.
