Re: Bed cross sill BRACKETS and pads
Here's the link to the Mar-K set http://www.mar-k.com/Catalog/index.aspx?LID=2514
I thought the metal pieces came already welded to the cross braces.

Re: Bed cross sill BRACKETS and pads
...or fab the brackets with a vise and a hammer and make the pads out of any kind of rubber. The brackets are important because they keep the cross sills from spreading, and rubber or metal shim added to the pad here and there helps level the tops of the cross sills if necessary, so don't leave home without 'em!

Re: Bed cross sill BRACKETS and pads
i boxed the frame and welded angle iron brackets to the boxed sections, made 10 ga square washers and welded them on, inboard of the stock holes

Re: Bed cross sill BRACKETS and pads
Just to give you another idea. I boxed my frame too, but before I did I welded nuts under the original holes so I could screw bolts under them. I NEVER think ahead like this, but at least this time I did.
