Another new guy
Hello. I'm new to the board, but I have been lurking around a little and putting some of the knowledge to use. Figured I'd join up and contribute and hopefully help someone else if I can.
I have a 69 C10 longbed stepside with a mildly built 355 (soon to be a procharged 383) and a powerglide. This truck was my first vehicle, got it when I was 15. Drove the crap out of it for 3 years until I wrecked it and smashed up the front clip. It set for 16 years and I sold it to a neighbor. The truck changed hands 4 times in the last 3 years and made it's way back to me. I got the truck back in September and someone who had it since I sold it had replaced the front clip and grille, but that was all they'd touched. With the help of my dad and my son, we've got the brake system working again, replaced the carb and entire fuel system, and started gathering parts to get her back on the road. I've been around these old Chevy's all of my life and this one has been with me most of the way. I dated my wife in this old truck and proposed to her sitting on the passenger side bed step almost 21 years ago. Maybe that's why she was okay with me buying it for the second time. |
